Rod McNaughtan
Rod is an all-round sportsman particularly playing both tennis
and squash at junior county standard. He also competed in
Athletics for the North West.
At 16 he turned professional and began working at Manchester
Tennis and Racquet Club.
His successes in real tennis have already begun with him
reaching the final of the 1999 British Under 21 Singles. In
2000 he won the Taylor Cup, the young professionals' singles
tournament. He is currently playing National League Premier
Division.
Rod is using his great athletic skills and putting them to
full use now in tennis. He is working very hard at his game
with Rob Fahey and this is showing in the results he is achieving.
In March 2002 Rod left Manchester to join Mike Gooding at
the Burroughs Club. When Mike left club to join the New York
Tennis Club, Rod was made the Head Professional.
