The second stop was BRTC on Sunday, November 15th. Again we were hosted most splendidly by Ben Coleman (marker in chief) and Sam and Eleanor Beale who provided another excellent and well lubricated lunch. Some fresh legs were drafted in for the second leg of the tour but Gerald’s were not enough to compensate for my largely self inflicted extra handicap. KK and JB pulled off a blinder which compensated for GK and GMacG’ s agonising defeat, 6-5 in the third set. Ed again was imperious and Charles clinched the match by generously allowing his partner to ‘out lunch’ him prior to their game (And believe me that was no mean sacrifice for CP).
